Najaf Do is one of the newest five-star hotels in Najaf, opened in summer 2024. It is in the Sahat Al-Maydan area, about 450 metres (around a six-minute walk) from the shrine of Imam Ali; you can walk there along Zain al-Abidin Street or through Najaf’s great bazaar (Al-Souq Al-Kabir).
With modern design, large bright rooms and a good buffet restaurant, it is a popular choice in Najaf. Rooms are singles, doubles and triples, with TV, fridge, safe and electric kettle. Guests also have three buffet meals a day, a coffee shop, free Wi-Fi and laundry service.
Its closeness to the shrine of Imam Ali and its quality of service make it a good choice for pilgrims who want a comfortable, convenient stay near Najaf’s holy sites.
Among the hotels near the shrine, Qasr Al-Dur is closer; but if a quiet setting, better rooms and more modern design matter more to you, Najaf Do is the better fit. Its new, larger rooms, greater calm and high-quality buffet are its main advantages over older, busier options near the shrine. If the shortest walk to the shrine is your top priority, though, Qasr Al-Dur is the better choice.
