In 1957, on the decision of the marja of the time, the late Ayatollah Borujerdi, a complex with a husayniyya and a bathhouse was set up in Samarra to host pilgrims of the holy shrine of the two Askari Imams (peace be upon them). The building was destroyed under the Baathist regime, and the new complex was completed in 2025.
The new building covers about 8,000 square metres and includes 26 rooms and 7 suites (for up to 80 guests), a husayniyya, a restaurant and a studio. The rooms and suites are brand new and, in build quality and facilities, on a par with a four-star hotel.
It is about 270 metres from the Qibla gate of the shrine of the two Askari Imams, around a four-minute walk.
Staying in the husayniyya is free, and guests can pay for meals from the restaurant. The rooms and suites are paid, and the income goes towards running and maintaining the complex.
Prices are for regular dates; the final price is confirmed with the hotel. On special occasions (Arbaeen, Eids and birth anniversaries) prices are usually higher. You pay only after our adviser confirms.
