About Ataa Al-Warith Hotel

Ataa Al-Warith is on Al-Sidra Street in Karbala, just before the shrine of Sahib al-Zaman, about 600 metres (a 9-minute walk) from both the shrine of Imam Husayn and the shrine of Abbas. For those who find walking hard, the shrine’s free shuttles on Al-Sidra Street make getting there easy.

The building is old but was renovated in 2026: every room was fully refurbished, from bathrooms to carpets and tiles, and the lobby was redone too. The rooms are large and spacious.

Ataa Al-Warith’s defining feature is its size: about 450 beds, three restaurants and two husayniyyas, with five lifts to move guests between floors. Its large lobby is another plus.

Thanks to that capacity, Ataa Al-Warith is a dependable choice for housing large groups at busy times and on occasions.
