Because the building is old, problems such as broken showers and faulty taps can be found in the room bathrooms.
The buffet has less variety and lower quality than at other hotels.

About Dur Qasr Al-Kadhimiya Hotel

Dur Qasr Al-Kadhimiya is one of Karbala’s premium hotels and has served pilgrims of Imam Husayn since 2014. It is on Al-Muheet Street, next to Almas Hotel, about 450 metres from Bab Al-Ras of the shrine.

Its quality has declined over the years, and newer hotels closer to the shrine such as Almas and Naeem Al-Warith have drawn guests away. Even so, its large rooms and fairly short walk to the shrine still make it a reasonable choice in Karbala.
