The Baron Hotel can be considered the best hotel in Karbala. This five-star hotel has operated since 2013 on Al-Husayniyya Street. Its 20 floors and unique facilities host both pilgrims and political delegations from many countries, and it is one of the best venues in Karbala for seminars and business meetings.
It offers rooms with a standard layout, a range of suites, a buffet restaurant and a free shuttle to the shrine, along with plenty of leisure facilities: a free pool and sauna for guests, an outdoor coffee shop, a children’s play room and à la carte restaurants.
The Baron is about 2 kilometres from the holy shrines of Imam Husayn and Abbas, around a 20-minute walk, but it runs a free shuttle around the clock. Shuttles leave every half hour and take about 7 minutes to reach the area near the shrine of Abbas, and return shuttles also run every half hour.
